A Ritual encounter can turn a comfortable map into a desperate fight within seconds. Spending POE 2 Orbs on equipment may strengthen your character, but surviving these encounters also requires recognizing when damage is no longer your immediate priority. When enemies crowd the arena, the first objective is to recover enough space to make deliberate decisions.

Reposition Before the Arena Closes Around You

The clearest warning is not always a falling life bar. If enemies approach from several directions while ground effects restrict your movement, your options are already shrinking. Move before you become surrounded rather than waiting until every defensive resource is exhausted.

Look for a relatively clear section of the encounter area and move toward it with purpose. Avoid repeatedly crossing the center when it contains overlapping attacks. A short reposition that leaves you room to attack is often more useful than constant movement without a destination.

Use dodge rolls to answer identifiable threats, not as a substitute for choosing a route. Rolling into another group can leave you facing the same problem with less time to react. After moving, briefly reassess the space around your character.

Remove the Threat That Controls Your Movement

Fast pack clearing does not guarantee comfortable Ritual fights. A build may perform well when enemies arrive from one direction, yet struggle when ranged attacks, durable targets, and nearby attackers demand attention simultaneously. Sustained pressure exposes weaknesses that ordinary encounters rarely test.

Prioritize enemies according to what they prevent you from doing. A ranged attacker covering your safest position may deserve attention before a tougher enemy nearby. Likewise, removing a fast pursuer can create the breathing room needed to handle the rest.

Do not commit to finishing a durable target simply because its life is low. If attacking it requires standing inside several overlapping threats, change position first. Reliable damage delivered from a safer opening is preferable to a final cast that costs your life.

Spend Defenses Deliberately, Then Review the Failure

If your setup includes defensive skills with cooldowns, avoid activating everything at the first sign of pressure. Use the appropriate response to the immediate threat while preserving another option for the next dangerous moment. Recovery becomes harder when every tool is unavailable together.

After a failed encounter, identify the actual cause before changing equipment. Were you overwhelmed by sustained damage, caught during a long attack animation, or unable to find clear ground Each problem calls for a different adjustment.

Small changes are worth testing before rebuilding your character. Better positioning, shorter attack commitments, or addressing a weak defensive layer may improve consistency.
